I love the cottage feel of felt decorations. They seem to suit the autumn and winter more than any other time of year as they enhance that cosy feeling, whilst also making great decorations if you have children around as they aren’t breakable!

Whilst the felt garland featured above is great for a children’s room or playroom, you may want something a little more decorative in a main living area. Incorporating some faux foliage across a mantlepiece with a mirror and gold accessories gives a warm sophisticated look.

Candles

Nothing evokes the feeling of the season like some autumnal candles. Not only do they look beautiful but scents of pumpkin, cinnamon and apple are the perfect complement to a cosy home. Display them on beautiful trays throughout the house and cluster several together for a different look. Don’t forget about flameless versions if you have pets or young kids. They give the same affect without the safety concerns.
